Lack of black managers in the football league
With the dismissal of Paul Ince as manager of Blackburn there is now only one black manager in the football league and there is concern among some black commentators that with Ince's departure a black manager of a Premier League side will not be realised for a long time.
There is evidence that black managers despite their qualifications and coaching certificates are not given a chance to manage a football team in England, and with so many high profile and famous black players who play a pivotal role at their club racism is one explanation to this contradiction.

While the Football Association would like to give the impression that they are strongly against racism in football, what about at the top levels where there seems to be a lack of black or minority ethnic football managers, directors, or even board members of the FA. Are the FA committed to fighting racism at the top levels of football management where a real difference could be made?
